Start 2015 out with no limits

Why be limited by other wiki hosts? They assign ridiculous resource limitations that we've never dreamed of, and it goes without saying we've never imposed them on any of our customers. Our premium plans come without limits, so you can do whatever you want with your wiki for low prices, starting at just $7 a month.

This New Year, we'll be here helping you set up your wiki if you choose.

This promotion's sign up period ends January 15, 2015. All previous promotions by MyWikis have been terminated as well, retroactively if applicable, except for December 2014 promotions, which will be terminated on February 1, 2015. This promotion itself ends on March 1, 2015.

Making a site has never been easier with no CAPTCHAs!

We here at MyWikis have done away with CAPTCHAs with reCAPTCHA's new No CAPTCHA feature! Just press the check mark and you're set! (Note: If Google thinks you are still a robot, you may still have to fill out a CAPTCHA. In which case you should probably change your browsing habits. If you are a spammy robot, sucks for you.)

We're going to slowly roll out this awesome No CAPTCHA feature, especially once MediaWiki's ConfirmEdit extension updates their interfaces to reCAPTCHA v2.

Loyal customers get 10% discount on this month's invoice

MyWikis is Thanks-giving, so we said to ourselves, "why not give our customers up to 10% back on their invoices?"

Until Black Friday 2014, you can submit a support ticket on https://www.mywikis.com/tss to get refunded. If this month's bill was not billed yet, please wait until it has billed; we will not send you money first.

We hope you enjoy this jour d'action de grace!

Switching to Tawk.to

We have switched from Pure Chat to Tawk.to ahead of the impending switch to $5/month plans. Live chats are being transferred to Tawk.to as we continue to replace code. Pure Chat turns completely corrupt next year (January 2015) so we're aiming to switch as soon as possible.

Changing HTTPS certificates

We are changing our mywikis.com HTTPS certificate which expires on September 12, 2014 at 11pm CDT. We are changing it two weeks ahead of expiry to ensure that our secure website does not encounter any issues. Expect temporary issues with the secure HTTPS website and certain features of ClearCloud, which do not work on HTTP. In addition, we are switching our certificate authority from StartSSL to DreamHost by Comodo CA.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask us on Twitter, Skype, or our TSS (support.mywikis.com).

Changes to pricing and usage of Euros and Pound Sterling

We have changed our pricing of our plans. MyWikis Pro is now $10 monthly, $100 annually, while MyWikis Basic is $7 monthly, $75 annually. If you would like to use our legacy rates even if you are a new customer, please visit https://www.mywikis.com/more?oldprice=true.

Also, all Eurozone and United Kingdom customers are required to pay in our Euro and Pound Sterling rates, respectively. This means customers in the Eurozone must now pay €10 for MyWikis Pro instead of $10, which converts to €7.45. Customers in the UK will now pay £10 for MyWikis Pro instead of $10, which converts to £5.89. We feel customers take advantage of low rates because their currency so happens to be worth more than USD. Therefore, this 1:1 par rate is more fair for both parties because 1. we can offer our services better, 2. we are properly compensated, and 3. the customer can afford it.

2 year existence anniversary deals

UPDATE: We are going to be delaying the price rise until we have time to implement the technology.

It's been 2 years since our founding on February 22, 2012! Looking back on these two years, we've really grown! We cannot thank our customers enough for all their support. As thanks, we'll be grandfathering all current customers' prices and all future customers that sign up before February 22, 2014 at 12:00am CST. As it is time for change, there are a few things we'll be changing:
  • We're going to slightly rise the price to account for fees so that we receive $8 at the end, not $7.47 or $7.38, etc. For US customers, this means $8.54.
  • MyWikis VPNs will be hosted on the cheaper RamNode by default. The setup fee has been dramatically reduced from $75 to $20 due to a technology change.

The Snapchat hack and our public service towards Snapchat users

Hello. We have obtained a copy of the Snapchat user list file. It contains:

  • Phone numbers (with the last two digits censored)
  • Username
  • Region
If you would like to use it, you may download it at snapchatdb.info. If that happens to go down, we will check for you. If you don't want to download a massive file, please email us at contact@mywikis.com, make the subject "Snapchat - need info", and include your phone number without the last two digits or your snapchat username.
