Change to TSS ticket creation via email
Due to recent spam from our email address, we have decided to require an account to be made on our TSS first (https://www.mywikis.com/tss), and when you have associated the email address from which you would like to send us a message, your email will actually be processed as a ticket. We apologize for any inconvenience, but this action is necessary to better serve you, and to protect our service from spam.

Free hosting for startups
When I started MyWikis, I had little money. In fact, the company was in debt until a year later, and even then we only managed to barely break even. What was our biggest cost? Our web hosting.
Now that we are financially solvent and profitable, we're able to give back to the community. If you have a startup that requires relatively few resources (just web hosting, some scripts, etc.), we'd be glad to help you host by giving you some space on our server.
We're giving your startup at least one year of absolutely, 100% free - $0 hosting. This includes unlimited storage and bandwidth. We hope that this provides your organization a "cushion". This will help you reduce costs and earn more money. As a startup owner, we feel your time should be spent looking forwards to profit, not trying to swim out of the red. And hey, if you need the "cushion" for more than one year, that's fine too, because we want your startup to be as prepared as possible.
(Disclaimer mumbo jumbo: There are no guarantees, don't abuse the resources, and please keep your content appropriate/compliant with our Terms of Service but remember, it's free! Please purchase your domain separately on a website that allows you to change your domain's nameserver. We can also offer a .mywikis.com subdomain if you prefer that.)

We will not be hosting any websites related to wikis via this method (no wiki hosts). This is because:
- If you want to create a wiki host, we want you to use MyWikis Reseller (https://www.mywikis.com/reseller)
- If you want to create a wiki, we want you to use MyWikis, of course! (https://www.mywikis.com/newsite)
The hosting we offer does not have a "build-your-own-site" tool (although we could install a CMS/content management system for you), but you can deploy HTML, PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc. pages. We are not helping you create your website, but instead providing a place for you to host your creation.
For more information, please visit https://www.mywikis.com/startup.

To apply, please send an email to contact@mywikis.com with your startup's info (name, summary of what you're doing) and we'll get back to you when we can, usually within 24 hours.

Make your wiki mobile friendly
Recently, Google announced they would factor in mobile-friendliness in their search results. We realize the impact this will have on your wiki.
We recommend all wiki owners who want their wikis to be on Google to contact us on the ticketed support system as soon as possible (https://www.mywikis.com/tss) so we can set up a mobile-friendly skin that Google will recognize as mobile friendly, guaranteed. If you do not want to, our default option is to opt-out, since this will affect how browsing wikis on mobile devices works, and could cause issues.
If your wiki is strictly for corporate purposes and is kept private, this is obviously not necessary as search results are not an issue for your wiki. However, if you wish to enable this skin, please note that editing may not be supported, and it will be best to use the desktop version to edit as of right now.
However, if your wiki is open to the public and Google is a main traffic source, this is imperative! Do not waste time and please contact us so we may install the mobile friendly skin. Please realize this will affect certain functions of MediaWiki such as editing.

Announcing MyWikis Gold Rewards - getting paid to edit wikis
Edit: April Fools!
As thanks to editing our wikis here at MyWikis, we've decided to splurge and give $$$ to edit wikis!
How does it work?
Just enable popup windows. For as long as you're editing any MyWikis wiki, we'll shoot up popup ads while you edit wikis. This will only work when on our wikis. Then, we'll pay you $10/hour, rounded to the nearest second.
Is this legal?
Yes, due to a loophole in the licenses we use, we are able to monetize paid content. We used the Stafford Act and the Communications Indecency Act to knock down the anti-loophole clauses.
Do I need to sign up?
This is a closed beta, so you need to email contact@mywikis.com to enable this.
Sincerely,
Dr. Evil

Notice concerning clients from Indiana
Update: Since Governor Pence has managed to pass another clarifying law, we've decided to once again accept clients from Indiana.
Due to the recent discriminatory laws passed by Indiana's state government, we have decided to stop accepting new clients from the state of Indiana. However, existing clients are able to stay until further notice. This ban will be lifted when the law is repealed. We apologize for any inconvenience to our clients and potential customers.
Not only do we find the law extremely offensive, we feel this is a step back in LGBT anti-discrimination rights. If another state or country shall pass such a similar law, we will boycott it. In the meanwhile, please tell Gov. Pence to repeal this law, or elect an opponent of this law to office so they may repeal this discriminatory law.

Ticketed support system updated
We have updated our ticketed support system located at https://www.mywikis.com/tss to make it easier than ever to get help, as well as making it easier than ever for us to help you. The TSS carries over all user and staff data from the older version of the TSS. We are still in the process of restoring old features to the ticketed support system, if we deem it necessary.

Restoring former prices for UK and Eurozone customers
Due to the current currency fluctuations, it is in MyWikis' best interests to restore USD pricing for customers everywhere in the world. Unfortunately, this policy has not proven popular, so we are retiring it for good.

Start 2015 out with no limits
Start 2015 out with no limits. Reach further by using one of our premium plans. Use promo code NOLIMITS for 25% off. Learn more on our blog.
— MyWikis (@mywikis) December 30, 2014
Why be limited by other wiki hosts? They assign ridiculous resource limitations that we've never dreamed of, and it goes without saying we've never imposed them on any of our customers. Our premium plans come without limits, so you can do whatever you want with your wiki for low prices, starting at just $7 a month. This New Year, we'll be here helping you set up your wiki if you choose.
This promotion's sign up period ends January 15, 2015. All previous promotions by MyWikis have been terminated as well, retroactively if applicable, except for December 2014 promotions, which will be terminated on February 1, 2015. This promotion itself ends on March 1, 2015.

Making a site has never been easier with no CAPTCHAs!
We here at MyWikis have done away with CAPTCHAs with reCAPTCHA's new No CAPTCHA feature! Just press the check mark and you're set! (Note: If Google thinks you are still a robot, you may still have to fill out a CAPTCHA. In which case you should probably change your browsing habits. If you are a spammy robot, sucks for you.)
We're going to slowly roll out this awesome No CAPTCHA feature, especially once MediaWiki's ConfirmEdit extension updates their interfaces to reCAPTCHA v2.
